Having looked at an earlier thread about part time drivers filling in weekly sheets for other work and mr vosa possibly asking to prove what i have done has anybody got a link or possible download so i can print my own off and keep my own record. My boss still insists we dont need to do this but im not convinced. I work full time for my company however driving our wagon consists of about 75% of my weekly work so i think i should be keeping a record. Many thanks.
Vosa will only ask for time sheets if there’s something not right with your tacho. As long as you provide the requested charts and digi card you will be fine. They’re more concerned with drivers that are right up to the legal limits than someone like yourself
if you feel the need to make a record of say, your mornings work at the yard, then use a diary.
i keep a diary for any excuses/infringements/etc. and vosa are more than happy. so i’m sure that will do.
Thanks chaps, most helpfull.

Are you talking about records for none driving days or actual time-sheets ?
I haven’t been stopped since I went part time driving but keep a diary now. I quite enjoy the discipline of keeping it.

Legally you should keep the records for none driving days on charts/printouts or manually input into a digital tachograph, but many people are saying that VOSA have OKd things like diaries or simple written records in a book.
I’m not sure but I think one person is using a form based on the one on page 49 here
Why not just complete an analogue chart every day? Name, date and start and finish times for non driving days. Couldn’t be easier, VOSA will be happy and this is actually complying with the law.
My ex MD just has a pile of charts on his desk. gets to work and fills in the name, date and start time. End fo day puts his finish time. If he drives that day he’ll use that chart, or if on digi make a manual entry for his breaks before he drove etc and carries the charts with him. Just shows VOSA you’ve nowt to hide
This all came about cos he got stopped and they stuck a 9 hour prohibition on him because he didn’t have his records with him - well ■■■■■■ him off
