Does any form of break longer than 15 mins reset your 6 hours ?
For example:
Today I park up at 12:00. (Started at 06:30) and was on break till 12:30 when I was asked to move.
I then parked up at about 12:35 but forgot to put it on break till 13:00. I realised I had forgot my fork for me lunch so I was screaming at the heavens looking for an answer.
Put myself back on break at 13:00 till 13:30.
So am I in the clear or should I prepare for the vose to come torture me?
TL;DR - does 15 + break reset your 6 hour working time?
For WTD rules if you work for 6 hrs then you have to have a 30 min break. If you were on break from 12.00 until 12.30 then you have satisfied that requirement. On a separate note,i noticed on an earlier thread that you said you worked for P&H at Haydock;are you still there mate?
Ive just looked at the Working time rules(Annex 2)and it states: Breaks: Mobile workers must not work more than 6 consecutive hours without taking a break.
If your working hours total between 6 and 9 hours, working time should be interrupted by a break or breaks totalling at least 30 minutes.
Does this mean 2 x 15 minute breaks within 6 hours is acceptable?

If you’re working more than six hours but not more than nine hours you should have a total of 30 minute break, this can be taken as two separate 15 minute breaks and one 15 minute break should be taken before exceeding six hours working time, if you have the break in two parts neither break should be taken at the immediate start or end of the shift.

Excellent, feel better now I asked. Was just unsure.
No longer at P&H but the agency have been ringing me to see if I wanna do the odd shift. Any questions about it, feel free to send me a message.
Can’t see a problem myself, the total shift will be about 10 hours with about 9¼ hours working time, you’ve had breaks totalling 45+ minutes and will not have worked over six hours working time without a break.
If you’re going to go over 4½ hours driving you will need another 30 minute break, otherwise you can work until 20:46 before needing another 15 minute break (assuming you have a reduced daily rest period available).

Thanks tacho!
Where do you get your info from?
I know you’re new to this but is this a serious question? Yours was one of the most basic simple hours question that every driver should be able to answer without looking it up.
