I read it as you were sat thinking oh I might be able to get onto some timber work locally at best.

maybe if you had put what would be the cost to transport 24 tonnes of timber from my yard in Berwick to our other depot in blyth you may have got better answers.

In the Midlands, about £10 / tonne on a crane lorry for a trip up to say 50 miles.

I don’t think it’s that much differnet further North.

I pay £325 for haulier to go from Carlisle to St Boswells load up round timber on a crane wagon and tip at Ripon.
