After the Middle East the West Country runs are as good as it gets

Packed up now, but doing nights on chilled dairy through Somerset, Dorset, Devon & Cornwall is as close as you get to heaven: empty roads - stunning dawns/sunsets & the world to yourself
Large tub of black cherry yoghurt from out the back:- icing on the cake for a 45

Can’t fault you for relocating mate. Traffic when I’m in my car does my nut in, put me in a lorry on hourly pay though and whilst not exactly doing cartwheels I certainly don’t stress it.

I sometimes look at commuters in major cities stuck in endless jams and think “why the ■■■■ would anybody willingly put themselves through this every bloody day of their working lives?”

Aye, git theesen upt north, its rosier up here…

My wages may be crap compared to down there but it only takes me 35 minutes to do a 28 mile journey to work and that is with a diversion due to the bridge collapse at Howden.

And whilst my wages may be crap compared to down there at least I can still afford to buy a 3 bedroom semi-detached house without bankrupting myself or having no money left over to spend on fun things.

Conor:
having no money left over to spend on fun things.

You don’t strike me as they type to spend money on having ‘fun’ Conor :stuck_out_tongue:

Find a better place to live, I live against the flow of traffic in the morning and the afternoon.

Hard to give up the money we make here on fuel.

+1 on that  , I think that when I have a London run and go up the M3 on a Monday morning
