Three sheets to the wind while tramping

axletramp:
I don’t know how we got away with it in the 1980’s, it was considered anti-social to not go out with the other drivers for a few sherbets, especially on a Thursday night.
There were more town centre lorry parks then as well as more pubs to visit.
Dunno how we survived really. :open_mouth:

Too many do-gooders now that’s why. I was the same and still am to some extent. Burn me at the stake. I like a drink after work and wouldn’t think twice about driving the following morning. I don’t doubt that there will have been times when I was still over the limit. So ■■■■■■■ what.

Harry Monk:
Just watched it on the iplayer… bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0 … tractions/

Looks like the mrs driver had been on the lash all day, I will have a beer of an evening but I couldn’t imagine drinking while I was work, I would have thought the first place you delivered to would either refuse to tip you or phone the police and report you.

And on the special brew/skol super too @9.2% vol .no wonder he still blew x2 the limit some 2hrs later at the nick
That driver of the lgv2 box was very lucky( crash on the m6), the thing was in bits ffs and he walked away unhurt, then Angus Nairn had to show his mug,& latest white scannia , unless that footage was from an earlier time

Lucy, Wetherby was always a favorite long before Ponty. I remember the late “Cracker” Bates
often used it when the rest of us were still frequenting the Redhouse at Donny. I havn’t been for
few months now but the regular “smoggies” and “geordies” still get there. regards kevmac47.

I carry a hip-flask of whiskey…just for the occasional tipple.
I top it up only every 2 weeks, so don’t think i’m a big drinker

that’s ok, as long as you’re a tramper!

Ahh, praps i should have added that info!!!
