I was lead to believe by a transport manager, at a firm I delivered to that you could not take three reduced 9 hour breaks on the trot. Can anyone shed any light on this, I have studied the vosa hours dvd and it says nothing about this subject. The manager in question said if i reduced to 9 on a monday and tuesday, wednesday had to be 11 off then I could do a 9 off on thursday. Thanks :open_mouth:

Mon - 0600 to 2100 - rest 9 hours
Tue - 0600 to 2100 - rest 9 hours
Wed - 0600 to 2100 - rest 9 hours
Thu - 0600 to 1900 - rest 11 hours
Fri - - 0600 to 1900 - rest 11 hours

Cheers 4 the welcome. I had convinced my boss I couldn’t do three in a row. Looks like I was wrong again. DOH. Mind you, after 2 9’s I need an 11 off. All that aside, he’s just made me redundant but not for sleeping. Credit crunch and all that. Apparently, people are giving up eating so there’s no work for us. Been looking at all the links on the site to find a job. Seems to me drivers are not in demand as we were a few years back. Sure something will turn up before the wife murders me. Cracking site by the way. Thanks for the help. :grimacing:

you are welcome - should point out that I am not one of this sites tacho reg gurus but I’m sure that I got this one right.

No matter what the legal regs say, if you need rest so you are not too tired to drive, you take that rest and [ZB] what anyone else says.

We use [ZB] on this site instead of ‘naughty words’ :wink:
