Thorburns gone

Going by that Document, Thorburns tried like hell to pull the wool over the commissioners eyes, and deserve everything they get.

How the hell can she claim not to remember if she was a director of a company less than 8 years ago?

Wally is exactly that in being a Wally for not notifying them he was banned from being a Director for 4 years, surely he couldn’t honestly think he would get away with it ?

2 Failed companies each owing money, Crown Cold Store & P&K Transport to their name, it’s probably just as well the plug is pulled on them to prevent others getting hit with unpaid invoices for work done.

i seen a fh volvo of theres last week going over thelwall southbound, and a r series scania m57 in towards switch island looked very tidy

The Volvo wuz prob my mate Cammo, currently w/ended around Valencia, spoke to him on Friday seems to think this Mansoor chappie is very much involved with making a go of it and is tied into Shorts somewhere, although thats not the impression I got from the comm motor article… re Wally, will love him or hate him Wally was Wally, what you saw was what you got

the driver " cammo " must have some sort of of promise to be still working for them.

No great loss if you ask me. One of my former employers did some work for Wally in the 90’s, and didn’t get paid for it. The transport industry can do without his sort, good riddance.

And I don’t mean to offend anyone but I don’t give a toss about how shiny his motors are…

Surprising that there is no comments from Janette Thorburn as she usually post quicks when the company name is mentioned

got a mate who works there and hes been sat at home for 2 weeks
and getting paid for it,he said there waiting for new mercs to
turn up and that there yard is in skem.wally changed the pad locks on
the gates and the drivers had to brake in just to get there cars out (nice)

sorry to see him go…Like him or Loathe him, hes been goin since the 70s, not many on here, if any ? stem back to that era.

theres more people now out of work and in light of the recession they will struggle to find alternative employment which is not good.

wasnt on about drivers Mike, on about people actually running their own business.

If his trucks are still on the road, maybe the new owner has an interim licence. Theres nothing to stop him getting the licence in his name (new owners)trading as Thorburn, providing he has adequate funds!

It seems that is the end according to RT.com

However, revoking the licence after hearing financial evidence in private, the TC said that now was the time to bring the business to an end. The company had no money. Hussain was unavailable for comment. The revocation comes into effect on Friday 10 April.

They do think they are GOD dont they, hell bent in ending that particular business…

“Its time to bring the business to an end”… Big Brother or what.

He’ll still be on the road as he is probably appealing the decision, the new owner was refused the O Licence after a hearing about his financial status in private. That could mean a lot of things from not having enough to maintain the fleet or having a bad credit rating etc etc etc.

If Thorburns are appealing then they will still be able to trade until the decision is given

I know what you was on about. I can assure you that Mr.Devany can still be found in the office

JMD been goin that long ?

Saw one heading south on the m6 around j19 last night about 8ish.

i’ve seen 2 very thorburn looking trucks this week.

virtually identical, minus any signwriting, that is.

According to the VOSA notices and descisions of 15th April they would appear to now be running out of Skem, as someone else said they where.

dont know whats goin on , passed one WITH signwriting pulling a white Euroliner on the M6 last Wed. Headin North.

New owner must have applied for a new licence.

I kno some of their trucks have been returned to West Pennine at middleton as the contract hire dept were recently advertising them.
