This weekend

I did two things I haven’t done for ages.

I drove a rigid, and I roped & sheeted a load.

Once I’d got over my natural instinct for turning the wheel the wrong way when reversing I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Firstly it did 65mph which seemed scarily fast, and secondly, how much fun are they on deserted greasy roads when empty

As I said earlier I sheeted the load. Took my time, did it properly and even if I do say so myself it looked well tidy, almost shrink wrapped. It must be 20 years since I did that but I soon remembered the sense of satisfaction I used to get with a well sheeted load. Don’t seem to get that now when I just open or shut a valve to get the load on or off.

Thats it Maoster, I’ve officially gone into hibernation…

Good for you Maoster, job satisfaction makes the day. I only ever had to rope and sheet one load in my entire trucking career (of 14 years) and although the load stayed on the trailer, I can’t help thinking I hashed it!

Very rarely these days, I get home and think…“I did a real good job today”.

Nice one! :sunglasses:
