Negotiate that to OT after 8 hours calculated on a daily basis, i have no doubt the right applicant could wangle that, and that wouldn’t be a bad little number so long as its on the books.
Beat the hell out of vegetating in a bloody stinking supermarket RDC holding cell for hours on end.

+1
This cracked me up:“You need to be a Class 1 Driver of several years experience, smart with a sunny disposition.” Miserable bar stewards need not apply then lol

You’re delivering to peoples homes, can’t be a miserable git in that environment.

Home counties means leafy Surrey, Kent, Hampshire etc. Big houses fancy gardens many of these places are on large private estates, plenty of room to get around if you’re sensible.
Doesn’t look a bad number except the ‘London’ bit, couldn’t pay me enough to to go to that ■■■■■■■■ in a car let alone an artic
The job could be as easy or as hard as you make it. Plenty of scope to earn a healthy amount of tips for just doing your job too. As for it being London, you take the Artic as far as it will go, and do the rest on the Moffett, its what its for…
But what would I know? I’m just a oversized van driver

Yeh. Overtime after 8 hours, Paid POA, and not allowed to take your breaks at the delivery points whilst you unload. (Too many drivers still doing this crap - I remind them it’s illegal!)
The average 8 hour planned day is going to be 10-11 hours. If your breaks are paid as well, there’s no bloody hour taken off the 3 hours docket either.
IF trucks in london are to be restricted in number - then those few - those happy few - should be able to go anywhere and everywhere to get the job done too. None of this LBTS bull any more either.
I know my way around London pretty well… and I HATE the way that my favourite rat-runs have been gradually turned into 7.5t streets over the past decade in particular.
They’ll close off a road that you could land a wellington bomber down - and stick you down some kind of country lane that is now the official route.
Even trunk roads like the A5 are not immune to this crap… I remember when THIS road was the A5… It’s plenty wide enough - but not for the NIMBYS who got it re-designated first the B5183 and then back to the A5183…
I’d show you on google earth - but the idiots there have buggered it up of late, killed off the live traffic, and made some maps so you can’t zoom in…
Here’s a map of Redbourne instead. The re-designated A5 (Dunstable Road) comes down in the upper half of the picture… It’s like a saveloy thrown up an alley down there for space!
