right got a few extras fitted over this week so i’ll start with some individuals
sidelights drilled and fitted into front fogs and spots
2 new hella’s fitted to rear chassis bar and bar fitted to chassis
bit of a story to go with this one hope you can stay awake joshh!!!
as with most of my extras its 75% home made, a very good mate of mine get hold of off some stainless off cuts for me to make something out of.
in this picture is some strips of stainless all folded up…
first mission was to see if it would straighten out…
next mission was a bit boring so no pictures of me scratching my head with a pen and paper and a tape measure…anyway next part was to cut the square holes for the hella’s to fit into…
once i got i cut out it was straight forward to then repeat it for 5 lights…
are you wondering where this bar is going■■? any guesses■■?
well next was to remove the part of the vehicle it was fitting on…
did you guess right■■?
then to centre it, drill and bolt it, work out the angle at the ends and use a grinder to perform it…then pop the lights into it and wire it up…sounds alot easier than it was…
once this was done i had the fun and games of getting it back up on the mota!!!
once fitted wire it up and jobs a gooden!!!
just what was needed a white refer to give off the lovely red glow…
fear the dark for it is evil
i like it a lot tappy nice work mate i can’t do wire’s i get all messed up with the bloody things . not aloud to put lights on my truck not a happie man atm
Tappy, i’m sorry old boy, but you dont half fanny around! Just fit the stuff! Keep takin the thing to bits, you’ve too much time on yr hands. Nice job BTW
Each to your own if they all looked the same we we might as well work for BRS or Hungrian Camion we cant all have factory white vehicles on op leases looking the same cant beat a bit of furniture on them leave it to the individual
otherwise we will wear brown cords and drive hearing aid beige morris marinas working 9 to 4
to be honest im thinking the lorry has doubled in price since you stuck all your trimmings on and it is only an x-reg scanny. therefore why dont you buy the lorry of him then its yours to do as you please.
Anyone say they didnt see you comming Tappy must be blind …
Mind you cant hit something and say you didnt see it cause it was to dark chap lol lol lol lol
Now as long as your out and about at night i know who to look for and steer away from happy christmas lol
jimmy2loads:
Hi Tappy, where are you getting your hella’s from mate?
Ello jimmy, hard to find places to get them for a tenner each when you take the vat and p&p off, been getting them off ebay but very rare they pop up anymore.
What sidelight bulbs have you fitted in headlights? I done the sidelights in the fogs n spots in bumper just last week, If you or anyone else see’s a blue 55 plate R500 4x2 topline scania, light bar on roof etc, with currieuropean trailer on its back, probably be on A1 likely, mostly running at night just now, its me so give me a big flash,
You cant have to many lights. end of!
Just hope we dont get Tappy and Rob unning together at night, it’d be a case of pulling out the shades…
Nice job though Tappy, made a Mersk motor look good.
I wish I could do some mods to my Stralis, but it’s on lease/hire so the boss wont let us. Though he is letting us fit CB’s soon, so that we can talk to each other when we fly past in opposite directions.
