This Morning at Manston Airport

Saw it on tv, only 89 lorries showed up. Must be poor rates

First truck in the queue :bulb:
Enough said.

Looking at some pics I noticed Stobarts had got there early to lead the convoy, don’t miss a trick for a bit of PR do they?

They was taking the ■■■■ out of it on this morning programme, There was one dust cart and to removal lorries in the convoy. Lots of ESL trucks.

Couldn’t they find 61 flip flops that would have been parked on the hard shoulder,to make the numbers up.

Think most of them are on there way back here after Christmas and New Year break, give it till the end of the week and it will all be back to normal

Apparently the hauliers were paid £550 per truck that was involved, not bad for a few hours work I guess.

i just gleaned this bit from the guardian attachment

Brexiters in favour of no deal say there will be no checks at Dover if the UK crashes out of the EU

beggars belief really. politicians have no grasp of industrial , let alone transport reality, they don’t know what comes in , how it gets here ,where it goes or what you need to do to get it here and through the uk customs , to leave the EU every load needs a customs stamped EX1 form, so there’s a queue the other side to start with. hope their planning on import/export agents portakabins and customs facilities at manston instead of just a truck park.
be the usual SNAFU, day 1 customs computer melts down , over to manual , oh pants no people job bolloxed nobody goes anywhere.

but happily medicines will be prioritised, you’ll be medically healthy but hungry

Obviously put esl at the front of the queue to check for low bridges :grimacing:

89lorries that’s including 1 bin lorry and 2 removal lorries according to the daily mirror’s report
A farce just like the rest of May and co’s brexit deal and project fear Bull ■■■■ they spout everyday, if you seek the truth here it is the truth about the WTO globalbritain.co.uk/wp-content/ … .01.19.pdf

No mate that is just project fear. Everyone who voted Leave wanted this scenario. We are leaving so ■■■■ it up, you can’t comment because you are just moaning.

30 years previous of ‘project fear’ from the press re the EU has been conveniently forgotten now, (bent bananas etc…)

The hauliers who raised the same issues as you were told to shut up in return for information from the government. We are witness to some massive change to this country.

Well What we are being fed by the MSM and politicians certainly isn’t the truth, And this peter liley isn’t the 1st to tell some facts about the WTO even more recently the boss of the WTO has said we have nothing to fear from using WTO rules trade would continue as it is now (unless some cuck decided to cause problems where there they don’t exist)

Maybe Google ‘Peter Lilley cash for Brexit’ or ‘Peter Lilley to miss out on peerage’? I wouldn’t trust him myself, however like you say, I really don’t know who to believe, so maybe he has turned over a new leaf? I hope so.

Surprised the green death didn’t send more lorries down, for that rate, be more than they charge to go to the drift from Kent.
