Last Saturday I did a rare a rare am shift to cover for holidays. I had 4x drops & as usual for the weekends there’s a skeleton staff with no senior management + a very ‘relaxed’ atmosphere about the yard.
Unknown to me, 'cos he forgot to tell me, the assistant manager on duty had arranged for a half pallet of cut price building materials to be delivered to a regular customer that wasn’t on his delivery note !!
Me, being a lazy one when it comes to counting, delivered the materials to an earlier drop who had legitimately ordered a smaller quantity. As that was my 3rd drop & the last ‘dodgy’ drop didn’t have the items on any paperwork I thought I was being clever.
Apparently, this assistant manager can no longer reimburse his dodgy mates ‘£cash’ purchase & is becoming very worried that the top brass might become involved
