Not too far from me. The site and the vehicles belong to a local machinery dealer. I’ve been told they don’t take kindly to people nosing about there. Most interesting thing about that old airfield, it’s where BRM used to test their cars.

Great pics, the article seems to think its all ex services plant abandoned when in fact Nelson M Green is a well known Plant and machinery dealer and has been for years.
Some interesting old hulks there any one of which could probably be worth a lot for parts , but with scrap prices being as good as they are it must be a temptation to weigh the lot in !
We bought an old Cat D6D dozer from him about 15 years ago 1984 model I think , good tractor.
