This kneeling shite

Hitler had a degree of support in this country right up to, and in some cases after, war was declared.

Some thought the communists were more dangerous than the national socialists/fascists, indeed fascism started off as a quite benign movement in Britain, it was later when the likes of Mosely (Labour Smethwick, crossed the floor to labour from the conservatives side) came on the fascist scene it changed.
Talk about between a rock and hard place, as it turned out Stalin was the bigger mass murderer than the German upstart, what a pair both intent on ■■■■■■■■■■ of the continent, it’s all very well with the benefit of hindsight and the leisure of history to study but just how when the whole of Europe was about to blow up do you choose which is the enemy you’d rather befriend to help destroy the other enemy.

Unless every single black/ethnic musician was always marked down, it may simply be they weren’t as good…Some of the finest musicians on the planet are black.

Tamla Motown and Ska and Reggae the sound of segregation. A bit like the idea of black policing for black areas.

Juddian:
The parallels with the mid not so distant past of what’s going on now should have people worried if not actually fearful as so many seem to want various forms of apartheid

Apartheid and segregation is the definition of self determination and the nation state.
That’s why Nigeria is Nigeria it ain’t Britain.
What this is all about is ‘who’ rules over us all not let’s respect each other’s right to self determination.
‘They’ are just trying to impose the reverse racist agenda that they applied in Rhodesia and South Africa to meet a different agenda of global rule.

I can see your point but in Mein Kamf Hitler spelt out his plan for the Jews quite plainly. So anybody in authority (particularly in Germany) who said they knew nothing about it at the time it was underway leaves themselves open to having their integrity doubted. The Communists had shown themselves to be quite ruthless killers when it suited them from the outset (as any white Russian would have told you) so, again, that should not have come as a surprise.

Happily the friend to befriend was there in the form of the US, although the help was hardly proffered at mates rates! But I guess they had our ancestors over a barrel, eh?

This was the England football team in Berlin in 1938. They were told that it was harmless and would please Hitler (their host). Can you see where this is going?

Hitler had already published Mein Kampf at that date and interested parties should have been quite aware of his intentions. This is why so many people vulnerable to those intentions had already left Germany by 1938. So those responsible for placating Hitler really should have known better.

Here’s a clue with the exception of a few idiots the country wasn’t ‘placating’ Hitler it was fooling Hitler luckily for the free world they succeeded.Good luck with winning the Battle of Britain in '38 or '39.Or stopping Bismark with just the Hood and preparing for a North African campaign in 1940 when we couldn’t even hold onto France.

Let’s get this right in 1939 Russia helped Hitler to invade Poland.
The US only went to war when it was attacked by Japan.
Before that America’s ‘neutrality’ was more a case of could have gone either way.

While my Grandfather had joined up well before 1939 specifically because he wanted to go to war with the nazis but he like most others, luckily including Chamberlain, knew we wouldn’t have stood a chance at that point. :unamused:

This topic has served its purpose, and then got hijacked for Carryfast’s random ramblings. :unamused:

So now it’s locked.
