This Keeps Happening

Hi mate - Such heartbreaking images. Bless her little heart.

Once again, it seems ever more ominous to me how the gathered investigative information is being withheld. This dark episode could yet transpire to be even more distasteful than it first appeared. The truth will ultimately be revealed, surely.

You would think so but it’s taking a very long time.

I don’t know for sure but doesn’t a death certificate with cause of death have to be issued before a funeral can take place?

Attempting to understand the procedures relating to a death of this type is a pretty complex and challenging task for the layman. (me)
Obviously, the coroner is automatically involved when the cause of death is unknown/unexplained/sudden/violent/unnatural.
After the post-mortem, the body is released by the coroner for a funeral when it is deemed that all examinations are complete and no further ones are needed. If the body is released with no inquest, the coroner sends a form to the registrar stating the cause of death. Presumably, this has not happened here.
If cause of death is still inconclusive and an inquest is to be held, the death cannot be registered but the coroner can/will issue a certificate to prove that the person is dead.
When the inquest is finalised, the coroner then instructs the registrar on what to enter in the register.
The funeral can usually only take place after the death has been registered. Presumably not the case here either.

A whole lot of words to shed very little light on this ongoing saga, but maybe the little mite was released for burial/cremation while the coroner`s inquest continues?

Bloody mystifying…

Seems one of the dogs was responsible although the actual cause of the head injuries is still vague IMO

Hi buddy. Well, its taken a bloody long time to arrive at such a seemingly obvious conclusion, hasnt it?

It may well be simply a tragic, unforeseeable event… or was it that darker suspicions surrounding the circumstances were aroused that could not be substantiated, and then discreetly abandoned?

However vague, it`s seems pretty obvious that the authorities have now declared closure on the case.

The father commented - “I hope this inquest will raise public awareness of the potential dangers family dogs can present to very young children.” A great pity that he himself was not more aware of this several weeks ago.
We can only hope that it will raise awareness, but I think more realistically that it is already fading from a large number of people`s memories.

Meanwhile, the world keeps on spinning.

Until the next unpalatable headline…
