This is why i hate London

Sitting in traffic and racing to the next light.

Muppets on bikes with a camera on there head.

Cyclists damaging vehicles but carry on riding (video - knocked mirror)

So far since I have been down there not come across a gobby cyclist yet but I really hate the traffic and the fact everyone is in a bloody rush to get to no where.

My rant!

most towns / city’s are much the same … I hate driving in any of them now , even in the car …

Yeh the ■■■■■■■■ s :smiling_imp: , they’re always there, but the ones that I saw didn’t have cameras.

What happened to the “Magic Meter”, you know the meter around cyclist in which can not be occupied by any other vehicle or they go into a strop■■?

Oh how the video would be different if the coach drivers mirror clipped the cyclist, loss of licence perhaps, or a criminal record?

Second cyclist was a gentleman :stuck_out_tongue:

Love it Robroy

Did I hear right that they were riding about naked the other day?

The guy on the bike was lucky. My mate was driving the coach…and he’s got a mean right hook…

Could be worse.
Imagine trying to dodge the geezers ,clad in pearly attire . . strutting thier stuff round Lambeth . . oi !!

I hate going into London too !!!

Everyone is in a rush, pedestrians, cyclists, people driving all manner of vehicles and even some truck drivers.

I had some idiot in a skip wagon trying to undertake me, racing along in the cycle/ bus lane, driving in an errayic manner recently. He pulled next to me at the red lights shaking his head at me. I wound my window down and asked him what the problem was and his reply ( in an East European accent) was I wasn’t driving fast enough and keeping up with the traffic ( cars, vans, etc…). No, I probably wouldn’t with a 40’ trailer behind me grossing 40+ tonnes and also there’s a 30mph, 20mph in some places, limit !!! There’s plenty of idiots driving rigids and 7.5tonners who are quite happy to try and pass on roundabouts and cut you up too !!! …First class dim-wit !

The place is a dung-hole, I’d be more than happy not taking an artic into there !!!

Fair play for driving a lorry where you have to “wind the window down” . .
must cost a few bob in Lez penalties ?

I’m used to it now. Did take some getting used to though, I used to have sleepless nights over it.

Oi !! That’s my home city you’re dissing there !

We’re all very busy people and we’ve got to get somewhere fast, without people from the provinces getting in our way !!!

When I was a London bus driver, it was like going into battle every day with white van man, cyclists, black cabs and minicabs. The worst though were out of town artic drivers, dithering about and failing to keep up with the traffic, and not knowing where they were bleedin’ going

Seriously though, London has become far too busy now, stressful and hectic. That’s why I’m hoping to move to somewhere a lot quieter very soon.

I think it should be made compulsory that if a customer has a delivery that needs to be made on an HGV, it should be done at night, and they should ensure there is someone there to receive it. Some of the places have daft restrictions on the notes like “deliver after 9am” brilliant that, gives me loads of scope when the bollards rise up at 10, and I’ve got half a dozen drops (or more) to contend with

London lovely place got that certain buzz to it no two days are the same.

That was me, straddling two lanes with my A to Z on my knees!!!

prima donna alert<<<>>>>

If cyclists bother you so much, some of you “drivers” should seriously consider leaving the industry :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Get over yourselves, life’s more pleasant.

Cyclists themselves don’t bother me one bit as it happens. It’s the three hours with a bucket and sponge trying to clean the goo from under my sideguards that ■■■■■■ me right off.

If that was you in the Denholm Transport (Liverpool) artic in the Grays Inn Road three years ago, then you nearly took the nearside mirror off my bus you scouse %@&@%£ !!!

I too detest the place, and I only end there once a week! Last Friday a single drop in Belgravia took me all morning due to traffic and road closures. It has to be the most truck-unfriendly city in europe apart from Paris. I honestly think Milan is a more pleasant place to drive, and thats saying something!
