I have witnessed many driver struggling
to reverse, take a look at this chap
Thatâs a official Polish, Lituanian, Slavak or Russian HGV Licence test reverse.
âWeâve had bigger than that in here drive.â
Ken.
Thatâs a very clever horse!

It would have been interesting to see if it was clever enough to have done a 90 degree reverse there and without a driver at the reigns though.

My grandfather was known to âenjoy a drink or twoâ through the day when out on the coal with his horse and cart. He was also well known in the locality for falling asleep at the controls later in the day and the horse used to make his own way back to the yard!

Thats class!
Love it. Knew of a bloke who lived in deepest Sussex a few years back who always got a 3 litre petrol car so he could choose any gear at the end of the evening and make it the 400 yards from village pub to his farm. Not condoning it mind, but he was way beyond anyone telling him what to do. I heard he died at the pub just after he had ordered (but not paid for) a huge round.
Iâd heard that profits are down at Morrisons, but thatâs shocking.
I suppose the horse is only like your truck - it only goes where you tell it, love the reflective triangle on the back.
In the days of horse-drawn brewers drays, the draymen had a drink at every pub and the horses knew the way home from the last one.

They do, even if theyâve not been somewhere before, they always know their way home, strange but you can tell when youâre with them and they start heading a certain way, itâs them heading home - like homing pigeons
