This is getting a bit technical for me

I was just reading a letter I recieved and it states -an analysis of the profile of the work has also been conducted and it has been identified that the driving work sourced is suitable alternative employment
Do they really analysis work these days that they propose for you too do ,oh the good old days ,when it was simple work for simple drivers

Analysis: examination of the elements or structure of something (according to the Oxford English dictionary).

They have jobs, you have a licence. They’ve analysed it

Yes, they’ve looked at the job, decided it doesn’t require too many active brain cells, therefore it is “suitable”

It’s not technical its some jobworths misspent time with a thesaurus.

I have a laugh with all the crap my lot come out with.

They tried to use a clause in my ‘contract’ to get me to do something.

Well the next 30 min was fun as I ripped their contract to pieces, pointing out that many loopholes I lost count and some clauses contradicting each other. I’ve been a contracts manager and had way way too many negotiations so could run rings round then in my sleep.

Stupid thing is all they had to do was ask nicely and could I …

Dozy- a lot of these letters are written to justify some consultant/senior manager and unfortunately it entails putting simple terms into gooblegook in hope no one really questions it. You do have the right for them to explain in laymans terms, so use it. It’s not binding on you if you ask and they can’t show you’ve understood what they’re telling you. But you have to ask first!
