I’m thinking of taking a biowaste transport job and I know this sounds stupid but I was wondering if anyone else has little tricks to keep the cab smelling fresh… And it’s an away all week job so would be sleeping in it every night.
I’m coming off curtainside work to do this so im used to staying in a smell free cab tbh.
I know some might think it’s a stupid thing
to consider but it does smell quite bad haha.
when you say biowaste do you mean biomass or food waste, I do waste to energy plant work with domestic waste and to be honest its no a big problem smell wise, I don’t wear my boots in the cab leave them on the top step and just use normal air fresheners in the cab
buy yourself a pair of overalls they come in handy keeping yourself clean

It’s a mixture of grass cutting and food I think… It’s not a problem leaving boots on step and coat in locker. The only thing I was thinking was the bedding holding the pong.

green waste is not a problem there is not that much smell off of it, never notice a smell on the bedding to be truthful but there again I do smoke so my sense smell is not that great. I do sleep on the top bunk and keep it folded up during the day so that might help
Smells in the cab can be dealt with having a few bottles of febreeze …and some attachable air fresheners…could always get something from Auto smart but it really depends on what bio mass your dealing with…you’ll have spare clothes for when you get messy … What about having a pair of overalls and wear when loading and unloading…
Think working on the tankers cleaning out the septic tanks would be a far worse and smellier job that what you got installed…
Green waste isn’t really a problem smell wise it’s the flies make sure your aircon works in the summer. The really horrendous stuff is pure food waste keep windows shut tippin n loadin is it a walking floor you will b using or tipper ■■?
Just have it in a bowl or a tub without it being covered… so it draws in smells etc etc… from what I know you can even sprinkle some on ya carpets in ya cab and use it like a shake and vac when having a clean out
