Hi all, thinking of doing my class 1 and joining the supermarket money bank. Anyone doing the supermarket work? What’s it like? Sainsburys probably. Thanks

I cant speak for class 1 just yet but I can speak for Sainsbury’s, the most miserable bunch of toe rags at their distribution centres and loosing the will to live with their H&S! You will love their patronising security officers and if you are lucky and lean forward with the wind behind you, you can get 51mph out of their units!
Heron foods, farm foods and Aldi are an absolutely pleasure, and bang for your buck too! Never actually feel like I have worked a day in my life when on for these firms.
Good luck.

Pah! Ha ha ha!! You’re a funny guy!
Even if you dream you’re working for Farmfoods you need to wake up and apologise
My advice? Enroll yourself on a carpentry, plumbing, bricklaying or electrical course,
Stay well away from this chicken sheet industry
Supermarket is often soul destroying and boring. Lot of hard graft of pushing cages about with broken wheels that weigh upwards of 300kg+.
Expect 12 hour days at the minimum. If they can get another run out of you they will.
Oh and working weekends if very often a requirement at a lot of supermarkets.
Yea, pay can be good upwards of 40K+
But for me anyway, it is not an enjoyable job. I do not look forward to going to work everyday.
Hopefully I sold it for you.
As someone else said earlier if your chasing money then there is more money being a plumber or electrician, heck even a hgv mechanic. A lot of places will train you up if you join as an apprentice.

Gravy train…? I suppose there are plenty of rates between £10 and £13 about. I wouldn’t be spending on a class 1 expecting much more to be honest mate.
