Thinking about doing my HGV Class 2 - loading?

Hi i got made redundant in Novemebr last year from a builders merchant and have just been in and out om temporary work since, always thought about doing my HGV Class 2 sicne i was younger but just a few things putting me off.

I have never really been any good at using ratchet straps, so would be a little nervous loading a truck, is it piece of cake once you get used to it or does it just take a lot of practice, guessing some industrys are different to other though such as animal feed/tanker work.

What kind of price would i be looking at to do my Class 2?, i did have epilepsy about 20 years ago and had a right pain getting my cat b car provisional so would it be any problem, just to clear up ive not had any fits since.

CPC? is it just pass or fail like the theory and practical or is it just more aless training and a certificate, i understand theres 4 modules.

sorry if this as all been asked before just want a bit of advice really before i consider doing it.

The forum sponsor has a site which lists prices so have a look. Check some others as well. Just call and ask. They should be happy to help. If their not that says enough as well. Avoid brokers, paying a fee for a few calls you can make yourself.

Can’t help about the epilepsy but I would expect being clear that long you should be ok. I would expect they will write to your gp for a medical report. Mine was 3 months being processed so factor that time in if your in a hurry
