I want to get my C licence…this is what iam thinking i need to do …
1st …get medical and sent off D2 & D4 forms with car licence
2: book theory & hazzard perception (2 courses)
3: book free assignment
4: have how ever many lessons needed
5: take test …

It’s this CPC i don,t understand …i have my CPC card as i,ve done the 35 hours classroom guff already …

But i keep hearing about These CPC module 2,4 …is that not the same as I’ve already done …or is this something different again …if its the same …sorted…
If not when and how do i book it … LAYMANS TERMS PLEASE

Hi there,

If you have done your 35 hrs training from grandfather rights you don’t need to do the other exams as I’m in the same position.

other CPC exams, you still need to do theory etc.

So ok i,ve done the 35 hours CPC (classroom)…and yes i have grandfather rights …

so is CPC module 2 & 4 for people without grandfather rights …

So if i,am right then …iam done with CPC ■■

Youve got it. If you have grandfather rights you do not need to do modules 2 & 4 so CPC is done and you should have/ be getting your card very soon.

Thank you sir …i got my card about 2 months ago…CPC can now do one :smiling_imp: …(for awhile) … :laughing:

pre 1997 car licence gives grandfather dcpc rights for both LGV and PCV so no requirement to do initial modules 2 and 4 for either

What they said regarding cpc but you can swap 2 and 3 round if it suits you or go for an assessment whilst waiting to sit your theory.
