There are indeed lots of pictures on Google but interestingly some are covered in words in the Russian and some in the Greek language. Methinks that, following a good dog lunch, they have already picked out some likely export markets.
You can also see that they fully appreciate that in order to sell trucks at a show it is necessary to have ■■■■■ on the menu.

This makes sense. I would guess that Russia (and Africa and Asia) are easier markets to crack than Europe. Here, the established brands are unassailable. Most of them are, however, involved in joint ventures with Chinese manufacturers, so any flow of metal from East to West may come via that route, IE an increased Asian parts content in future VW group, Mercedes, Iveco and Volvo lorries.

Who’s engines and drivelines are they using ? Cheers Bewick. They bought a job lot of freshly overhauled 8 pot Gardners from some bloke in Maddiston
So Dennis missed out on selling them the New Old Stock that he’s had rusting away in his barn?
You’ll never get rid of them now, Bewick, our Far Eastern friends have discovered ■■■■■■■■

■■■■ and Blast it !!!
Boat anchors it is, then?
Don’t underestimate Hyundai, they have one of the biggest ship building ventures on the planet, and they are a prolific manufacturer of plant in the Asia region.
We a have a couple of excavators working with grabs as loaders in the Southern forests and I have to say they don’t brake down any more than the Cats or any other brand. I find the plant well put together and effective at it’s job, and the service guys don’t complain about them either.
They’ve had them pulling B doubles down here on trial for a few years, all be it with a different cab. I don’t know much about them as nothing has been said, but I haven’t seen any sitting at the side of the road.
I would imagine that there biggest market would be China.
I bet they have a pretty effective marketing campaign planned, if they offer a guaranteed buy back price with a good roadside and warranty plan there would be plenty to take them up on their offer.
I remember back in the sixties a lorry man talking to my dad said " Trucks from Sweden who the heck would want one of them, and how the heck do you pronounce Scoonia any way. It won’t matter any way, next month everyone will have forgotten about them"
Jeff…
Jeff…
I agree Jeff, Hyundai’s heavy machinery is top gear.
So I’d be hoping any truck venture continues that heavy machinery ideology and NOT the thinking behind their present offerings of cars.
Wife has a new Hyundai………. Will be our first throw away car.
Conversely, Cargo, the estranged Mrs ■■■■ has a new Hyundai which came with a five-year warranty covering just about everything that’s likely to break. For the price, she will probably think it sensible to throw it away after five years anyway. I’ve driven it and I have to say that it’s the equal of most other small cars costing twice as much.
I was looking at a Hyundai Elantra in a car park the other day, it was parked next to an Audi, the panel gaps on the Hyundai were more uniform than the Audi, which hints at good build quality.
As has been said their heavy equipment is very good and their shipbuilding is top notch, I don’t think it’s beyond the realms of possibility that their heavy truck range will be as good as the competition.
Think I need to clarify.
Hyundai have gone to a lot of effort with their latest generation of cars, very Euro styling and once you start digging you realise there’s absolutely not a cent wasted.
Every single item from wiper blades to floor carpets has been trimmed to be the cheapest yet most durable for the job.
BUT 5-year warranty, free roadside assist and still the lowest new car price around.
All of the above means their 2nd hand value is zero. Why would anyone buy a 5-year old one when a brand spanker is so cheap, and they’re getting cheaper every day.
Long warranty, roadside assist is OK for a car but I think the wrong direction for a heavy transport.
I see Cat and ■■■■■■■ powered trucks on the side of the road every day, waiting for the 24hr. mobile truck mechanic.
I’ll bet the owners aren’t interested in any of those sales gimmicks.

Because there’s less chance of it turning into a fiasco on here. What?! A “fiasco” ? How?
I put it on here to get opinions about the lorry from people have know a bit about the lorry game, not for it to descend into a load of ■■■■■■■■ and anti Stobart/agency rubbish.
Most of the blokes that frequent this forum will remember the failed attempts of Hino to break into the European markets and can comment from that perspective.
Also there isn’t a Korean forum on this site, so I could’ve put it anywhere.
Full marks - made my day that!
