and ■■ so they cant check your driving hours and in any case if your legal who really cares :unamused:

Going by that download list it looks like they are chasing the proper cowboys of the industry and will leave your average joe alone who has a few minor infringements.

Like the last one. Speed recorded by DT. Hopefully they will be monitoring vehicles actual speed and catch those dicks that tailgate me at 56mph, because they find the legal restricted speed an imposition.

That all seems fair enough to be honest.

I just don’t want them downloading my card as I drive past not that I do anything dodgy but we’ve all got the odd bit here & there if were human & you’re tramping.

Have you read the article… it says nothing about downloading the drivers card.

To date, the finer details of what will be transmitted remotely for road side enforcement have been vague. All we’ve known is that they will not be a full download of a VU or a drivers’ card, with their purpose intended to be more basic, i.e. to check that the tachograph understands that the vehicle is moving or a drivers’ card is inserted.

However, following a meeting last week in Brussels last week, Tachodisc can now reveal the exact list of what will be transmitted. The checks will include:
-the latest security breach attempt
-the longest power supply interruption
-sensor fault
-motion data error
-vehicle motion conflict
-driving without a DRC
-DRC insertion while driving
-Time adjustment data
-Calibration data (including the two latest)
-VRN
-Speed recorded by DT

do the crime do the time

Nothing to worry a driver there then! even on the speed they would only be able to check the speed the limiter is set at, not the physical road speed.

Yeah, that’s why I said it was all fair enough. If they had of been proposing to zap my card on passing, I would have said that’s not really cricket, this is England old bean.
