Still waiting for my provisional license to come back but mad keen to get the theory and hazard perception out of the way as soon as I get it back.
Does anyone know what the wait time is like for a theory test in Edinburgh at the minute?

It will vary depending on cancellations but test centres throughout the UK are generally around 3 weeks. Having said that, I booked some yesterday in Nottingham for today. But that’s unusual. You probably know you can book your own theory tests via the DSA website. If you know your driver number you can keep trying to get your test before you’ve received your licence. It wont make a lot of difference probably but that’s as quick as it can be. The system will allow you to book the test when the licence has been issued - which is a different matter to waiting for it to arrive.

If you need initial dcpc module 2 theory then book that at the same time as the usual theory and HPT
all three can be done on the same day at the theory test centre
Thanks guys I wasn’t aware I could book without my license.
I’ve not got both theory test and hazard perception booked for the same morning, my license needs to have arrived back by then but that shouldn’t be an issue.
