Theory Passed, Now practical!

So I have my Multiple choice and Hazard perception tomorrow at 8am! Really excited, quite confident but anxious due to how important it is for me. I’m slightly worried about the CPC more then the multiple choice and Hazard perception to be honest.

I found the hazard perception the most challenging of the three aspects you mentioned mate. I got 100% on the theory, but only managed 75% or so on the hazard test. No sooner was I clicking to register a hazard I had noticed, it was time to click to end, only to have spotted a new hazard! The CPC is not difficult. Good luck with it all mate.

As Beav has said, so long as you have studied…its a piece of pease. There really isn’t anything to worry about.

I’ve been using drivingtheory4all as well as all the books, DVDs ect that my training company supplied me with, I’ve kinda set my target for getting 100/100 on the multiple choice instead of just trying to pass. I passed the mock test 17 times on drivingtheory4all, hazard perception is quite easy, its just the case studies, some of the questions they ask about the scenario just do not make sense sometime, I get most of them right whilst practising but its just my luck ill get some dodgy questions on my test, usually to do with drivers hours.

Remember there are plenty of people taking LGV and PCV theory tests who have never taken a hazard perception test before but are experienced drivers. I’m 40, but I took my car test back in 1993 when there was no separate theory and practical tests, let alone a theory test with a hazard perception element.

Experienced drivers who are unused to the hazard perception test can click on the expectation of a developing hazard, before the point it is regarded that they can perceive the actual hazard in the clip. If they do this on test, they score 0 for that scenario.

No-one spotted the irony yet?!?!

Pete

I am quite happy for the idiot to keep embarrassing himself Pete.

He does a far better job of it than I could ever do. However, in the interests of progression, I will try and keep his advice in mind tomorrow morning. After all, I will be in a 44t Scania and he will be in his Nan’s Micra.

It’s almost unbelievable… And I can say that, because i’m bloody perfect! (Except for when I’m not…)

Sorted!

Onto the next hurdle, and best of luck!

Good job on the pass.
And as has been said, now comes the ‘real’ part.

How did you do then?
Assume Theory was Piece of P*ss?
What about HP? …as that’s often the pig.

Jon

I scored 95/100 on the theory and 84/100 on the hazard perception. Hopefully the case studies won’t be too difficult

I done all my theory stuff fairly recently. Module 2 CPC was not to bad at all. It’s all the usuals that you know they are going to want to test you on. I got questions on stuff like load/weight distribution on a trailer, driver hours, documentation needed when driving/delivering abroad, operators licenses, finding illegal immigrants on board fines etc, daily checks what should you do if something is faulty and how much weight you can carry type questions.

All that’s probably no help at all to you but I am sure you will be fine. I got similar score on my theory and found the majority of CPC questions the same.

Good luck Lewis.
I did mine just over a month ago and the cpc didnt bother me so much.
I went with the thought that if I muck up one please let it be the cpc purely so I could still take lessons and test and then think about it after.

Please let us know how you get on

Should have read it all duh

Congratulations

Thanks everyone, this means so much to me, being a professional driver has always been a dream.

Good on you mate. You will end up with a larger knob too. Estimates vary, but on average the growth is usually very noticeable.

Passed my CPC case studies this morning, I’m over the moon!!! Another step closer.

I have my Mod 4 Practical safety demonstration test on Friday, any tips to aid me in passing?
