Theft at valverde

Be careful parking at valverde, one of our lads got trailer broken into tuesday night. must of been quite tooled up as they wrecked handle on roller shutter door to bypass padlock.

must be heavy sleeper with roller shutter door. was he parked outside hotel or on the waste land other side? we stop there a lot and never had a problem so need to be wary now

I would have to admit that after an evening on the old Senorita Beater, I wouldn’t be surprised if I woke up in the morning and the whole trailer had disappeared while I was asleep

Thats supprised me iv parked on the ruff bit of ground across from the hotel a few times and neva had any trouble the hotel looks abit run down ,but the foods not to bad .got stuck ther in december in the snow for a night and most of the next morning and like i sed had no probs wot names on the trailer that got broken in to

It was one of my lot at belkin the ones with the pictures of iPhone and skype phones on the trailer none of witch we carry. most of what we have in the back are connection cables and techie accessories and unless you are an expert is just a load of wires. their was nothing taken just a opportune scum bag trying his luck. you are right about no problem iv been parking there for years with no probs and was me who told the lads it was a ok place i shall be still using it in the future. i don’t think anywhere is totally safe these days with every one wanting something for nothing

I’ve always thought that your trucks looked very tidy but really, in this day and age, running around with trailers plastered with pictures of techy gear has got to be asking for trouble.

Do you have many problems because of this?

Theres a company i see regularly parked in La Jonquera i think from Romania or Turkey and their trailers are covered in pics of TV’s and DVD players and the like and they are all tautliners but they don’t have any cuts in them :open_mouth: think they are called mediagalaxy something like that, can’t believe they don’t get robbed

Slipping off the thread for a bit but do you guys at Belkins get timed runs etc, IE be in Madrid / Milan / wherever for a certain time and date or is it a get there when you can / like attitude??

Out of interest, how far do you get to deliver to?

no timed runs, some of the deliveries have booking times but we have plenty of time to get there no pressure. pinto is the farthest south in Spain. Poland and Czech to the east. Sweden to the north. Italy and all the usual places in between F. D. NL. B. etc etc.

Cheers Tourist, sound like you have quite a cushy job there, no hassle, good kit, and only 10 drivers.

Heard the money and conditions are quite good at your place as well.

We never see any Russian trailers with Zorro style cuts in the their trailers, maybe a Kalazanscof rifle does the trick in Russia in guarded parking.

Nah, I’ve had my trailer broken into in guarded parking in Russia and most of us were robbed at least once.

Toby spells it his way, you spell it yours.
We don’t generally care how it’s spelt, as long as the meaning is clear enough.

Toby has his own unique take on many things :sunglasses:
