Does anyone have virgin media , do you make the yearly phone call , telling them it to expensive ? I always do , I’ve had 6 months free , this time the bill had gone up from 89 to 117 ( ridiculous) , told bloke on phone couldn’t afford it & if he didn’t do me a deal ( reduction in price ) I was leaving , straight away said £67 + a new modem / TiVo box , not bad , but it does make you think why don’t they do the £67 in the first place .
No have thought about it .
but at min got sky sports etc half price for 18 months.
As while back my neighbour rang virogn said Wana leave going over to sky as it’s cheaper. They gave him a cut off date rang sky to arrange it all. And day before was all due virgin rang as a valued customer stay with us we will match any deal sky offer you so he did
What are you getting for your £67? We are also with Virgin and get TV, broadband and landline phone for slightly less.
TV is basic package no sports or additional Sky channels.
Virgin broadband £25
I just knew I should have pushed them harder ( gateshead package cheaper ) haha , this is our package Gateshead , just shows if your bill is cheaper than £67 how outrageous £117 is .
Not sure how much my broadband is animal as done as a package .
Chap I rang edd said either he could sort me out a cheaper package or he could pass me over to the team that deals with it , it’s I believe a 24 month contract at £67 .
I got it slightly wrong ( not in a good way ) , it’s actually £69.75 , but still a lot better than £117.90 , but I’ve a feeling I could of pushed for a bit cheaper
Tell that you are leaving as found cheaper else where you go to leave they call you & ask why you leaving you tell them they give you it a lot cheaper
I only have the broadband as don’t have a tv or landline
I usually upgrade it every time for discount.Settled at £109 so far.Not sure where will run out of options and it will all end though.
Don’t get me started, my doofus landlord just renewed with them (for apparently a sweet heart deal due to long contract loyalty, about £40 top tier of the three options), in the middle of this 3 week intermittant outage and STILL the issues remain. I can’t upload hardly anything and it grinds my online work to a halt most days. Originally we were with BT, then Virgin (which is not imho a mainstay firm for internet expertise).
