The wheels are a rollin : )

Sorry, this is not a question but me wanting to shout out how revved up I am.
Passed my theory and hpt last Wednesday I put the effort in and scored well. Now I have cat c assessment drive booked for next Wednesday and I think I have just about saved enough dosh to go ahead and book training once I’ve done assessment.

It’s been about five months from making the decision to do my c and c+e so the fact things are moving now are great. I have a plan of attack as well so any comments welcome :
Train and pass cat c in auto
Train and pass cat c + e in manual
Do whatever hours I need to get cpc ( think I’m right in thinking training hours can be used towards cpc) passed my driving test in 88
I’m a self employed carpet fitter so manage my hours to allow time for some agency cat c or c+e (if they let me  ) work at weekends
Get some experiance and get a class 1 job in a few years…living the dream! Don’t care what the job would be other than delivering carpets !!!

Well done! You are on your way. I have messaged you.

I’d say do cat C in a manual and then C+E in either manual or Auto.

Enjoy the training as it is really a lot of fun learning to drive trucks properly

Yep really looking forward to it. My logic in doing class 2 training with auto is the fact I want to drive class 1 for a living so the class 2 is a hurdle I need to get through as easily as possible then when I pass my class 1 in manual at least I’ll be set up, kind of, for job with either manual or auto.
Much debate on here regarding manual/auto but for me money is tight so I really need to pass class2 first time…no pressure then…

Hey Dan, just to say a big thank you for the HPT dvd. I will pass it on to someone else when I’ve finished with it. x
