The weekend?

LOL, I used to have my hair cut at the ladies hairdressers when I picked the missus up, it was a tenner, but she retired & closed the shop, so I’m using some of the local Turkish barbers nowadays.

I think I’ve had eight covid jabs since it started, I spend a lot of time taking family members to hospital/clinic/doctor’s appointments, so I’m getting all the jabs to ward off the viruses, they’re unhealthy places.

Ok your tyres could be perfect But they have a year of, not advised to use

Your fluids are the same, in our world topping up is fine, in their world after a certain time you should flush all the pipes and replace all fluid

I’ve just had a service with a brake fluid flush on my two-year-old MG, It’s nowt but a con job, but you’ve got to have it done to comply with warranty.

I don’t know how modern fluids compare but earlier hydraulic fluids were hygroscopic. They would absorb water from the atmosphere. That could mean brake pipes would rust invisibly from the inside, and also when hot the water could turn to vapour and have gas bubbles in the fluid, giving a spongy pedal and less pressure in the system, so less braking effect.

For the sake of a few quid every couple of years? No problem just do it.
Dealers charging an arm and a leg? Problem, but then again to keep a warranty alive? Do it.

Bloody hell! We’ve got horizontal, torrential rain at present. Good job I got my jobs done early.

I had brake fluid flush on my focus at ats when had new pads fitted.Thought what ever cost me £35 .
Went ats 6 months later for new tyres was told we’ve done a 50 point free check. Your brake fluid needs a flush.
Told them hang on a sec I came in few months back you told me needed it done then when had brakes sorted .
Quick tap on computer. O yes we did do it our mistake.
Did they do it or not who knows but seems be a thing say it needs doing to everyone

Par the course for ATS and the like… soon as you walk through the door you need 4 new tyres, brake pads are low and fluid reqs changing

@ady did you get yer early day ?

I’ve been trawling through the TSW6 Winter sales to see if there’s owt that takes my fancy, Of course the routes/locomotives I want aren’t on sale or barely discounted.

I’m not really interested in the American stuff, I don’t want to be driving those CSX monsters at 25mph all day long & I’ve got enough Deutsche Bahn stuff.

There are some Swiss routes Arosalinie Chur routes in the sale for a tenner set in the 90s.

Decisions decisions.

I’ll be having a bottle of apple juice tonight after my tea, I’ve done one of those chicken & lemon stir-fry meals, I’ve only had one bottle all week.

Go for the swiss 90’s one , has it got the little grey mouse or the baby crocodile

I don’t know. I haven’t got any Swiss routes.

Did 9 1/2 hrs blue estate , started 3 & finished 12.30 so not to bad

Wife had a moan about the state of her car after I used it for work

Car serviced , passed health check o/k , I’ve heard of full service , minor service & interim service , but never a essential service , bit cheaper than I thought but a joke when you look what the do , though no choice as under warranty

I asked them when booking mine in for service how much a cam belt would be for a wife’s fiesta st , apparently best to do water pump as well , £1008 ( the expression on the wife’s face :joy::joy:) , apparently it’s just a bloody fiesta :joy::joy:, she’s getting very aggressive as she ages , we won’t be paying that apparently

I did try to calm her down as both cars

are going as we’re going down to one car , still wasn’t happy

Going to notts to see my girl tomorrow , wife is going to do some Xmas shopping / meal with my girl , I’m going to sort the a——-h—-e out :joy::joy:while there out so I’m informed :joy::joy:

Booked in with doctor to see him about this covid jab the pharmacist said I can’t have , had no after effects from flu jab

I took Mam for her covid jab a month or so ago, I asked the nurse about one & she said it’s just for 75-year-olds & above & she doesn’t think that will change anytime soon.

Lovely weather this morning wet n windy , supposed to dry up later so after shopping I’m gonna put up out side Christmas decorations
