It did seem more busy than usual this friday.
I was on 4 25 on a really busy M5 at Cullompton, I pulled on the services saw the car park was full, and consequently the cars were using the truck park. I had to do a tight arsed blindside in the only space available dodging ■■■■■■ cars parked all around me.
I got in the bunk for half an hour, woke up and I and two others were blocked in. Walked over for a Maccy D’s latte the whole place was chokker…Still parked there 1 and half hours later.
Trucks were queing and blocking the road in, and one little guy from the msa, with a hi viz eventually came and tried ( and failed) to sort it.
Young kids running around 44 tonners was a recipe for disaster, but a blind eye was turned for profits I reckon
Bombed home down the country lanes whilst listening to the pandemonium unfold on the traffic updates.
Anybody get stuck behind the farmers protesting on the a50 ? An hour from foston to Blythe bridge !!
heard today that the M5 was murder, cullompton to Bristol solid, how many miles is that, got to be over 50 at least
exeter to Highbridge took me 2 hours 20 minutes friday from 1 pm
Santa:
Dad driving, with his knuckles white on the steering wheel at he tries to restrain himself from going berserk. Mum in the passenger seat with the map; upside down of course as she is heading South, twisted round to threaten the kids on the back seat. Two kids there - one a teenager having a hissy fit because his phone battery has gone flat and it’s different to all the other phones, and the other a toddler who is screaming because he’s just been slapped for chucking his shoes out of the window and Dad won’t stop.Never mind - only six more hours to Weston and the weather forcast says rain and wind in the West, Sunny in the North.
Spot on
either a map or a phone! and holding onto it as if to say look at me I have a phone and the amount of drivers who have I Phones or the like on their lap while they drive is crazy, what happened to I SPY OR 10 Green bottles?
