The one he’s got is less than a year old BB, not even he could’ve worn it out yet!

Bit out of touch with Volvo now but is it just a little switch somewhere on the dash to change gear manually now on the newest ones ?
We got 4 new Volvo’s from the Avonmouth depot a few weeks ago, 2 double drive and 2 lift axle. Unfortunately i didn’t get one but i did have a go in one when taking it from Avon to Walsall for the paint + stickers. Very nice indeed, still cant believe that the 2 double drives do landfill work.
Only niggle from the drivers is the fuel tank is not as big as the older ones as they have combined the fuel tank and hydraulic tank together.

It’s an optional extra on new ones, you can choose to have a stalk on the dash instead of the original lever mounted on the side of the chair for gear selection and manual gear changing.

Chatting to one of our drivers from another depot and I thought he said it’s a rocker switch with + & - on it no mention of a stalk.

Yea our new one are on the dash,it saves the fat gets arses bending them on the side of the seat,also drivers cant perch their coffees on um and knacker up the insides
