i have just been on my jollys to italy
from wakefield to lido di jesolo
for the outbound route i went via reims-metz-colmar where we had an overnight stop at the comfort inn in colmar
on the second day we went throught basle towards luzen over the gottard pass
going on towards milan before going across the a4 to mestre and droping into jesolo
as neil has shown pleny of pics round luzen i stuck to taking pics of the pass
wagons use this pass when the tunnel is closed for cleaning or other problems,but it has a weight limit on it so dont go over it if the tunnel is open.
the pass is a good wide road with the only tight bit being the northern end ,the southern end is the most picturesque

Cracking pics! Wish we had roads like that over here 
In fact I think they should close the M11, M40 and M180 for a while and build some 2000m mountain ranges in their path and make them go up and over them

It’d be quality to see an FM12 pulling an ASDA trailer negotiating one of those hair-pins in the pictures . Driver wouldn’t know what had hit him

artics get up the gottard easy,but not the gd st bernard
as for asda drivers the vemis would be working overtime on the hills
you never know i could impose one of our fm`s on there
