if you roll the truck whilst wearing a seatbelt, it will hurt, ask Lee G on here

if you roll a truck without wearing the seatbelt, it will hurt a lot more, as the belt will keep you in the seat

i can’t think of any collision situation where you would be better off without the seat belt being worn

and, please don’t come out with the ‘i could jump in the bunk out of the way’ crap, because, you wouldn’t get there in time :unamused:

How about this one (Ok, not a truck but still, its a collision), Uncle travelling home from work at around 2am… cows escaped onto road, collision, stripped the roof and ALL pillars backwards. Was not wearing seatbelt, and did receive severe head injury’s from the cow stuck on the car kicking and hitting his head, BUT… if a seatbelt was being worn, would have been instant death due to the pillar holding the belt was pushed back and would have broken his neck, Fact.

But except for a situation like that, your always best buckled up.

So much general poor driving out there yet they go after one sector of folk not wearing seat belts

If only they were as keen on pulling up the Audi driving muppets that go from lane 3 to exit with 50 feet to go braking from 100 to 30 mph in front of trunks or the ■■■■■■■■ that drive to the front of queuing traffic and then indicate to pull in because theyre so special everyone should be thankful to be behind him.

Sure you got that the right way round?

yes

Lee G rolled a truck, and was wearing his seatbelt, he still suffered serious bruising

if he had not been wearing his seatbelt, it would have been a lot worse, as he would have been tossed around the cab

the seatbelt will keep you in the seat if you roll the truck, just have to brace yourself for when you release it
