Great stuff Kev, Regards Larry.

Not the best looking ship I’ve ever seen but, it’s very practical as a car transporter.

Ive just heard that Eddie Stephenson is not enjoying good health sadley to say, Get well soon Eddie, Regards Larry.

Good grief joining this site is bringing back many memories of days gone buy.

I was born in South Shield & one of the driving jobs had was driving for Wrights Biscuits then known as Middlemass. They were famous for their ginger snaps. I drove a Thames Trader on multi-drops. Most of us used to stop in the morning on the A1 at the Clock Cafe just past Scotch Corner. The Thames Trader was an unforgiving sod as it could be very difficult to stop in a hurry. Oil over air brakes bloody useless had a few narrow misses particularly approaching roundabouts.
Anyway thanks for the memories

I have posted this before on Past and Present, so for joncris it has a date of 1947.
