Much of the stuff pointed out does not just apply to Stobarts, the pressure, the treatment and view of drivers, the pay not justifying the work etc, it all adeauately shows how crap the job is (or can be) in reality.
Read the comments btw.
Some things are the same the world over.
It was around my area where they got the name ‘‘The Green Death’’ due to the number of owner drivers and small firms they put out of business.
They took a job off one firm here, offered the customer free haulage in return for getting all their storage contracts.
Ok that s what competition is all about and this industry is a dog eat dog one, but it still leaves a nasty tsste to those involved.
But is it better as Culina?? They’ve taken over everything now
Probably not. I’ve never worked for a big company and if had to doubt it stick with it long.
I’ve always worked for smaller companies where youcan ring office they know who I am and can sort the problem out no messing around
I think the Irlam children did alright from the buy out.
I’d go on the rock n roll before i worked for Culina.
