The Pride of the Fleet

Travis Perkins and its associated companies own a lot of lorries and I should think this is one of the worst of them all…I have the honour of being the driver.

If you see me on the road, wait for the black smoke to clear before you wave.

Ah well, no hills to climb! :sunglasses:

You’d be suprised…I dunno if you know Norwich but itself it isn’t all that flat …which is the reason they built it there apparently, high ground to defend.

Looks like an ex keyline truck; you should thank your lucky stars it’s not a Renault

It’s not an ex-Keyline truck…it’s still a Keyline truck.

16,800kg off the weighbridge at the quarry equals 19mph up a “Norwich Hill”.

Not a lorry designed for six foot plus drivers either…if the driving position was an office desk I’m sure “workstation posture experts” would be horrified.

Used to drive one of those years ago. Couldn’t blow the skin off a rice pudding!

Try going up gas hill, Norwich.

I’ve driven an 18 tonne DAF 55. Not brilliant uphill.

I’m sure I read somewhere Travis Perkins have got some new Euro 4 or 5 (can’t remember which) DAFs coming. Let’s hope they arrive soon mate!!!
