switchlogic:
NO! NEVER CHIPS! Only lunatics think chips belong on a fry up. Bacon, egg, sausage, black pudding, beans, fried tomato, fried slice and toast. There, end of topic thats the definitive answer.
P.s and tea, no other drink is EVER acceptable with a fry up
greggy:
I am with Luke on this, quality over a pile of crap.
Glad someone agrees!
commonrail:
other than it being too big…i don`t see a problem
It looks like a horrible cheap indigestion inducing pile of slop!
Gotta agree with Luke, you just know however much of that you eat,it will taste of nothing but repeat on you all day.
Cheap ingredients = crap breakfast, and they look like the cheapest cash and carry ingredients going.
it`s difficult to say,how much it cost…just from looking at a picture.
as for indigestion…may i suggest a change in diet…or setlers

The eggs are cheap you can tell a fresh egg its very compact, the sausages are those cheap chip shop style ones, nasty bread used for the toast and fried bread. And oj another note if that’s 6,000 calories then I’m a monkeys uncle. Two rashers of bacon on their own can be 400 calories!
Totally agree with the egg thing. We source our eggs from a local farm, mostly double yolkers and as fried eggs they are always runny and golden yellow! Having said that they make smashing scrambled eggs too! As for the bacon we all prefer streaky bacon, the daughters like it shown to the pan or as they have said since been youn “under-cooked”. As for me it has to be slightly more done - not crozzled! Loving the comments who would have thought so many of you would have replied thanks to all of you! PS they aren’t even chips i was going to have they were FRIES!!! My missus does proper chips during week which she uses big (baking) potatos for and cooks in chip pan not deep fat fryer. They are super and fave tea has to be egg and chips or even just chip butties!!! Well mus go got a full Sunday Roast to have - remember Yorkie puds eaten before main meal!!!
One of the best cooked breakfasts in UK is Doug’s Diner a eat in portacabin at M6 J40 Gilwilly est Penrith, local butchers gammon type bacon, genuine local ■■■■■■■■■■ sausage, free range eggs cooked to order I would rather pay a little bit more for good quality grub than cheap crap. (By the way NO vested interest before anyone asks )
ok lets get this chip thing sorted for a start
if you have chips with your breakfast , it is not a breakfast
it is called BRUNCH
For breakfast i like
2 sausage , 2 bacon , egg and beans
plus 4 toast
and mug of tea
if in a cafe i dont mind tomatoes or few mushrooms or even black pudding and a hash brown
as long as i get the basic compulsary
2 sausage , 2 bacon , egg and beans
plus 4 toast
and mug of tea
in belfast recently i had an ulster fry
it was quite basically just a full english with 2 types of bread(soda) underneath the egg and tomato
but no toast
so i left the cafe starving

It is really Dinner as we tend to have it at around 1pm, I don’t do lunch as to us its breakfast, dinner, tea-time and finally supper. In the past when visiting places in the South (God forgive me I kn ow not what I do!) they served brunch around 11ish due to it being half way between lunch and breakfast. Rather call it elevenses but hey ho. We always have tea from the teapot and at least 2 mugs (pint mugs!) One mug is just a quick mouth rinse! Oh has to be Yorkshire Tea for hardwater too!
good quality smokey streaky bacon
Hutsons sausages (Norfolknewbie will know who they are)
Bury Black pudding
White pudding
scrambled egg
grilled tomatoes
sauted mushrooms
thick sliced granary toast/Soda bread with proper butter
HP sauce, cracked black pepper
Any fruit juice and a steaming mug of strong tea,
or if hungover on saturday/sunday morning, the lighthouse cafe just down from the Birds Eye Hoss burger factory in Lowestoft, nice breakfast that is not swimming in grease .
Everything grilled, crispy bacon, those thin Irish recipe sausages, tomatoes not beans, potato waffles (or hash browns). Fried eggs if with waffles and scrambled if with hash browns. Served with Tea.
Coffee should only be served with breakfast if you are having pastries.
