There was always a guy in a Picasso parked up on the A14, in the layby where you turn off the A14 at Huntingdon to continue going west, no matter when i passed that layby he was always there, sat there watching the traffic pass, it did my head in so much wondering why he was always there i was tempted to stop in the layby and ask him, never did though.
I used to workin Huntingdon. We had trucks running past there and he was always writing our reg numbers down.
Gaffer wanted to know why, so told plod he was worried Picasso man was organising a hi-jack. Came back he was just a truck-spotter.
I think he now has a Ford and sits on one of the bridges near St Ives.

dont bother waving at him he never waves back… every day just sat in his car lookng out the window, even when its red hot he dont get out… he must have good vision if hes getting reg numbers, but by now he must have all the reg users of this section, seen as hes always on the bridge… i always thought maybe its some geezer thats been sacked and darnt tell the mrs, so sits in the car a few hours watching pretending to be at work

Everytime i drive down there he proper looks at the truck, i got the feeling he was looking for drivers smoking or speeding or something, I’ve always eased off just in case lol

he is called chris and is a member of a lorryspotting site on the internet and he does’nt get out of his car as he is slightly disabled.
