The next step in the hunt for a job

Hi Guys & Gals.

I am trying to get back into driving after a (really) long break.

I have my Class 1 and Tacho card and have sent my CV to all the local heavy haulage firms with no replies at all.

So I am now wondering what the next step is.

Given that I will have to undertake some CPC training soon should I take ADR modules now and have some of the hours count towards CPC ?

I guess it will open more doors ?
Maybe these doors won’t be Multi drop minimum wage jobs !!
Will I earn more money with an ADR ?

Kill two birds with one stone by doing your driver CPC with an ADR trainer who can credit you with up to 21 hours of CPC. The ADR wont make a great difference to earnings, certainly not initially. Might a wee refresher drive be worth considering too?

I think that will be a good idea but don’t imagine it will be an issue tbh, riding a bike etc

I mean it makes sense to do ADR now and the trial run is also a good idea too. Sorry if I sounded off.
