The MMTM Thread

On a building site yesterday a tipper driver told me that his mate had told him that if you don’t change the mode on your tacho from “other work” to “break” before removing your digi card that the chip stays on “other work” and your daily or weekly rest doesn’t count.

MMTM the Irish used to have frisbies for tachos, there goes another one out of the window, craic on drive.

The memo from DHL has reared its pretty little head again, can anyone remember which part of the country it was issued in or from. I have a man from high up looking to investigate Jeremy Thorburn.

Heard the gaffer at work tell an agency driver “if you work here till Christmas when work is silly busy after Christmas we will take you on permanent” no honest he did tell him

MMTM that the Child Support Agency operate on weighbridges, checking National Insurance numbers to get money off you for those drunken one night stands that you cant remember what you did,or with who.

Not exactly true - as far as I know!!!..but it is(or it used to be) commonplace for DWP to be present, basically checking driver’s are not claiming benefits they’re not entitled to whilst driving professionally. Also Customs & Excise get involved, dipping tanks for cherry.
I think they call it a ‘multi-agency operation’.

MMTM (so it must be true) that it’s impossible to get a job on Pulleyn’s as it’s dead mans boots !!!

It is not dead mans boots at Pulleyns. It is dead mans Doctor Martins boots. And hours of polishing the aluminium wheels on your time off.
