Arrested on suspicion? Not busted…
Typical Daily Mail reader. Never let the truth get in the way of a story…

What a waste what with all those flash cars on his drive
Oh dear, never mind, what a pity.

Roadside breath analysis cannot be used as evidence to convict, so they bring him back to the plod station and do a more in-depth breath test and maybe take a blood test. Usually when you get arrested on scene after blowing over the limit the conviction rate for drink driving is in it’s 90%.
Apparently he has previous for blowing into old bags!
Maybe he was celebrating the end of his England career
Wayne Rooney’s agent:
Wayne Rooney has announced he is retiring from international football stating, “I can’t possibly manage to put all my energy into England, Everton and Elsie from Edgehill”.
What a plonker…
If ever there was an example why fines should be a percentage of the defendant’s weekly earnings, this ■■■■ is it. I guess with his weekly earnings he’ll be able to employ the services of some pondscum to bring up lots of mitigating circumstances, and plea bargain him a token fine…
And still, the sheep will eagerly visit the shrine of the holy wind kickers, and spend a weeks wages on a replica shirt, a replica away shirt, a replica special away shirt and so forth, with their “hero’s” name on it…
Spud faced ■■■■■
Maybe he was celebrating and letting his hair down

If he’s failed a roadside breath test - are the police just going to let him drive away between now and the court date?
By rights, he shouldn’t make bail, being a danger to not only himself - but others as well.
In any case, the fact he’s now been charged and this story also runs on the Leftie rags should satisfy any suggestion you make that this story is somehow “fake news” just because I happened to post a DM link rather than this one… Wayne Rooney charged with drink-driving after posing for selfie at bar | UK news | The Guardian
Just ask Ryszard Masierak what it means to be charged with DD when you’re a nobody…
Remanded in Custody
Are the polizei even going to take Rooney off the road throughout his bail period I wonder?

What happens if he gets back to the station, and then refuses to have the blood sample taken?
Even the trip to the station gives the individual with a better metabolism (as we’d expect a footballer to have) the opportunity to “sober up below 35m” which would get him off the hook…
I would imagine the police, therefore - wouldn’t even bother to arrest him if he blew just over 35mg for example…

To maintain some sense of proportion, Mr Masierak’s alleged offence is not simply drink-driving, is it? Also observe that the other (live) driver involved in the same incident is likewise a “nobody” and has been granted bail. It’s certainly not a case of one set of bail rules for the slebs, with another for the proles.
And why would the Bizzies seek to take Rooney off the road while on bail? Do they do that for any other simple drink-drive case?
