The joys of city centres

Ahhh, the joys of taking artics into city centres

I’d seen this on YouTube. Personally I think the driver was faultless, he kept his cool and done a spendid job in a tight spot !!!

He appears to be turning left out of Castletown Road onto Baron’s Court Road in London. The streets around there are no place to be with an artic. I can only imagine he was in Queen’s Club where all the tennis stuff goes on, as there are only houses there otherwise.

He’ll never do that run again! !!!
Camera guy was a pure no b though

Sums up a lot of todays society, wishing others misfortune for their own personal enjoyment. Looks like coped rather well though :stuck_out_tongue:

Says it all - Joe public (driving or not) has not the slightest idea of how much space we need or where.

This kind of thing makes me howl, on the one hand, how do councils, in London especially, expect stuff to get to the shops etc, yet on the other hand insist on placing those steel bollards at as many junctions as possible?
The only good Bollard is one that leans at 45 degrees!

I think he did an excellent job.

Yep, I totally agree !!!

Too much street furniture that wants ripped out nowadays its awe a ■■■■■■ waste of money.

Good recovery from the driver. The guy filming it needs a kick in the teeth though.

+1

Where was the round of applause , stupid ■■■■■ " I want him to hit it , I want him to hit it "

The guy filming was a ■■■■■■■ idiot.

He had loads a room… lol

Looked like a beaver tail on back heavy forklift transport or alike??

DR

Thought the guy did very well
Nice Aston
Nice to when he was shunting car drivers couldn’t wait but had to squeeze past his front end.

He’s actually turning from Earls Court Gardens into Earls Court Road, London SW5. I know because I live five minutes from that spot. No idea what he was doing down that narrow residential street in the first place though?

He’d just been to see your missus m8 and was trying to make his getaway :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, he’d have got a £130.00 parking ticket for his trouble if he did? The traffic wardens are vicious b**stards round this area.

The only Good Bollard is one that’s in the back of a skip,
& it should be made Law that we can use our side under run guards to push parked cars on corners, out of the way, with any cost incurred being put onto the said car Driver/Numpty Parker. :unamused:

Hats off to the fella.

If that had been my run, trailer would more than likely still be there, or the bollard wouldn’t, or the whole lot, and I’d have been heading home on the tube!

What gets on my ■■■■ about London is bloody delivery windows. If a customer orders, for example 6 tonnes of gear, then it’s not coming on a 7.5, but the cheeky arses tell us not to turn up before 9am. Toss!
