For every drop of malt you would have drank Harry, drink a cup of tea and convince yourself its malt.
Cheers Dave.

Dave are you saying our Harry might go teetotal after a period of two weeks,   will his taste buds change that quickly,   come to think about it, the first and last time we met,   he seem to enjoy his cup of tea.

hiya,
Of course I enjoyed the tea Norm, unseen by you I’d added a goodly drop
of a very nice single malt to it, I only normally drink coffee I can manage
that without the need of an additive.
thanks harry, long retired.

Borrow?? :open_mouth: Borrow?? :open_mouth: I’ll HIRE her to you for a fee to be negotiated. You don’t ask a Yorkshireman to borrow anything. The only thing we consider giving away is snot and sneezes. :stuck_out_tongue:
I hope all goes well with your back job, It’s not something to be taken on lightly, it must be absolutely necessary. An old doctor friend (not our own doctor) once told me, “Unless there is no alternative NEVER let a surgeon have a go at your back”.

Sounds about right Brian. My youngest sister has had three back operations over the years.A disc removed part of another disc removed etc,she is no further on and still suffers back pain. She had a good teaching career as head of lower school in a comprehensive school before she was 30,but had to cut down due to back pain which eventually forced her to pack up work. As you say if its absolutely necessary then there is no choice other than to have it done.
Cheers Dave.

Rigsby, If you’re looking for a way to cut down on the expense, I’ve got a very rusty four foot length of RSJ around the back of the shed.

hiya,
OK OK have had to give up the amber nectar I’ll do it as my gesture for Lent,
have to go into dock tomorrow to have an infected cyst off the route of the
area of the scar which was left after I had my stomach removed due to the
“C” thingy many moons ago, just being done at my GP’s surgery so should be
back home in an hour no restrictions on my food intake between now and
then, although the doc did say consume nil alcohol for the time being and
the duration of the antibiotics, so I’ll just be miserable for a few days.
thanks harry, long retired.

Hope things went well with your op today Harry. Regards Kev.

I didn’t realise that so many off this forum were ice road trucker fans until tonight. :open_mouth:
