It must be catching , my laptop has taken the funnies , off to the repair shop tomorrow . Luckily being a rich pensioner I also have an iPad , so I shall have to manage with that for a while . Problem is my fingers are too fat to tap those little squares on the threads , so I have to use the rubber on the end of a pencil . Cheers , Dave

Plug a cordless keyboard into your ipad Dave. They don’t cost much, and being a rich pensioner spend it, before George Osborne takes it off you.
Cheers Dave.
Never had a prob with my lappy

Hiya,
You must have the gentle touch Ang, this is about the fifth laptop I’ve had I did have a
“proper” computer for years which was perfect but silly me bunged it in the skip when
I got my first portable thingy, ideally I should have left it set up in the spare room as a
standby for when I do a bit of “overtapping” with the big hammer, one day I’ll learn.
thanks harry, long retired.

I always use a desk top computer Harry. I have got a laptop as a back up, but the amount of use I do with a computer, the desk top is best for me.
Cheers Dave.
I seem to struggle with laptops, my current one is awaiting attention from a neighbour as it has become infected with a virus and needs wiping and restoring. Much prefer the desktop one but that is getting past its prime alas…like the operator!
Pete.

Took the laptop to a Mac repair shop , graphics chip ( whatever that is ) needs replacing , £200 job , but still a lot cheaper than a new one . I might suggest to the everloving that she reduces the housekeeping expenditure to pay for it , from a safe distance of course . Cheers , Dave

Hiya,
There you go Riggers chucking your brass around like a Whirling Dervish you should have invested
in the “Harry Gill where to tap your computer with a big hammer course” the over the phone or a
email course is a snip at £25 which tells you where to strike and comes with a two pound hammer
plus P and P, and of course my cast iron guarantee “if dissatisfied don’t ring me I’ll ring you”.

Hiya,
Dave I’m not feeling any Chrimbo spirit at the moment I am so out of sorts right now,
have developed shingles for the second time the pain on this occasion is a bit rough
and I am housebound which wouldn’t be so bad if I could get a bit of sleep but I feel
so uncomfortable, they say you only get shingle once but trust me to disprove that, I
have the trek through to the RVI hospital for my annual cancer check-up I’m looking
forward to that like I’d be welcoming a hole drilled in my skull I’m going to give them
a ring and see if I can get my appointment changed to another day.

Sorry to hear that you are suffering Harry. My late Mum had shingles years ago, very painful as I recall. Hope you soon feel fit and well again, also hope your check up goes well when you have it.
Cheers Dave.
My wife had shingles a year or so ago,
but she was ok with it, she wondered why I never had it, I said I was told by a doctor that if you had chicking pox severe you don’t get shingles, but if you get a mild dose or don’t have it, you can have the virus which hides in the fluid in the bottom of your spine and any emotionable shock can bring it out. So Harry tell your wife not to upset you by hiding your bottle of malt whisky, and that should stop you having it a third time.
Sorry to hear that you are off colour , could it be the emotional shock and disappointment by the loss of revenue caused by yours truly ■■ If so I apologise wholeheartedly , but when finance is involved I refuse nowt but blows . Anyway son in law will never miss 200 quid . Cheers , Dave
