Hiya,
I think GOM’s Sandie might just be the tonic I need to get me up the wooden hill
I reckon she could tice me into the land of nod in no time at al although I’m not
so sure about that, who’d want to go to sleep, and would my current sleeping
partner be happy designated to the spare bedroom, it wouldn’t be quite as easy
to convince her that she’s getting beyond her sell-by date, no I think I’ll leave it
as it is at least my “Old Girl” gets the “pit” nice and warm for whenever I decide
decide to retire.
thanks harry, long retired.
I reckon that Harry is sleepwalking Dave, he keeps strange hours that’s for sure! I rarely turn in before 12.30 am but he beats me hands down in the nocturnal stakes. It will be those malts keeping him awake, I told him before “Take some Horlicks or Bournvita before retiring” but of course I got shouted down. Much cheaper than malt whiskey as well, he will be able to treat Mrs Gill with the money he saves, that will get him brownie points and then she may just suggest them BOTH having an early night. He will sleep soundly then, that’s for sure! Win win all round, go on, you know it makes sense.
Pete.

Hiya,
Horlicks ? cocoa ? no no no Pete, but I’ll try cutting my single malt intake down a bit
to about half a dozen per night should save me a few bob but my measuring skills
leave a lot to be desired and I’ll most likely use a bigger glass thereby I’ll finish up by
drinking more than I do now, I suppose I could become a teetotaller perish that idea.

I was at a wake for one of our long serving drivers and I was sat at a table having a crack with another four of our ex drivers and just by chance wives were mentioned and these four, great lads I would add,had a reckon up and between them they had had 14 wives,I kid you not,I had often wondered why some of them were always desperate to get down the road on a Sunday and not appear back in the depot at Milnthorpe until the following Friday afternoon
Cheers Bewick.

Hiya,
Well Dennis wasn’t there a branch of marriage guidance over your way then,
I should’ve nipped over to your place for a start, seems like I’d have been in
good company, at least the craic in the brew cabin would have been canny.
thanks harry, long retired.
You lads keep saying about how many wives you have had but you fail to mention just who’s wives they were, or did you actually marry them yourselves? One has been more than enough for me!
Pete.

Hiya,
Yep Pete I married all mine and nicked none the first two were single ladies
the third, my current missus was a divorcee so none were purloined from
other partners I’m a lover not a fighter and couldn’t do with the hassle of
splitting couples up, I always found there was enough to go round without
having to nick somebody else’s.
thanks harry, long retired.
