Is there anybody below the age of 50 on here who actually reads this twaddle though? Seems that at 63 I am one of the younger ones!

Pete.

Excuse me I am just over 50 & read

i think that reply says it all , woman of few words is ang , but she does understand the older generation . these southern immigrants in our fair peak have a lot to learn , he’s only been hear 40 years , he’s still an incomer . cheers , dave .

Not twaddle then, maybe ‘fiction’ is a better term? Anyway Ang admits to being ‘over 50’ so my statement still applies, I find it hard to believe that Neanderthal Man is still alive and well in this day and age and treating women like scivvys, I thought those ideas went out of fashion back in the 1960’s? :open_mouth: Now I have to rush off and get dinner sorted, done the washing this morning and been into town shopping so getting ready for a sit down.

Pete.

Hiya,
I think this young Pete Windrush fellah’ mi lad should be sat in a corner and forced
to read and digest the “Grumpy old Man’s” guide to wimmin training manual with a
load of imput from our “Mr Rigsby” and of course my how to use the Knotted rope
without leaving visible marks, essential for very insubordinate wimmin.
thanks harry, long retired.

It must be a Northern thing Harry in that the men are bone idle, I have never expected to be waited on especially when the missus was working as well. I don’t do ironing though, neither does the missus come to that, but everything else has been a joint task in the past 40 years. Now of course she cant do much at all so it is all down to me but I enjoy it, would rather be back driving a truck but life is never that simple. Just fed the dog, next task is getting some tea ready and then pot washing and making sure my elderly neighbour is OK before relaxing for the evening. If you pm me your address I will nip over and get you some snap as well, might be a while though because if I pass near Buxton Rigsby will expect the same treatment!

Pete.

we shouldn’t condemn windrush too hastily , he came up from the south with their liberal (soft ) ways with women . up her where men are men and sheep are nervous we have to be firm with them . our women are a tough breed , give them an inch and they would soon rule the roost ( not that they don’t try anyway )i make an exception for ang 'cos she’s diddy and cute and she doesn’t know where i live , so i’m safe . cheers , dave

Please can all members under 50 who read this thread, make a comment and reveal your age, just ti prove Pete wrong.

A light beating occasionaly is good for em, keeps em on their toes. Although I must admit to mellowing a bit in my old age, I’ve even allowed her to start calling me Brian.

Sandie is feeling much better, it was a chest infection, she’s been rubbing chip fat on and now she’s fighting fit again.

Hiya,
First and foremost " Grumps " It’s so nice to see Sandie back where she belongs and please
inform her should her chest need a further application of chip fat tell her I don’t mind
doing the massaging, messy as it may be, now back to our wimminfolk I initially allowed
my missus to be on first name terms bad move, it wasn’t long before she expected me to
help with bills even the car running costs I quickly put her in her place, you have to it was
getting so bad I couldn’t go out every night and the pub “mine host” was starting to feel
the pinch, now if that isn’t enough to make a young fellah’ mi lad shape up I give up.

Hi all,i am under 50,banned from going shopping, banned from going anywere near cooker/washing machine only allowed to chuck me dirty washing in basket,as for gardening i’ve got the best nettle and thistle crop going

what can i say pete , it does the old heart good to hear from a properly brought up chap doing things right . i’m with you on the garden thing , mine is flagged over except for a couple of small flower beds for the wife to play with her flowers , and i pay a bloke to cut the grass when it needs it . retirement means just that , not finding work to replace your old job . a regular walk to the pub is all the exercise i need . cheers , dave

Pete, with that pedigree and another few years on your back you WILL be a superstar amongst men. A few bans from the missis and we KNOW we are doing the right thing.
Credit where it’s due though, with me being temporarily “indisposed” with my new knee, my old lass is doing a sterling job looking after me. She moans, grumbles, calls me names, etc. but t’owd lass is there, it can’t be easy for a 75 year old coping with a grumpy old git like myself.

Thanks for “encouragement” gents, just another thing i forgot to mention showed the mrs how to check tyre pressures on car few weeks ago and she seems fine doing that as well, good thread this is of Harrys cos he will get blame if she reads it
