hiya,

them buggers slopped about all over the place.
thanks harry, long retired.
Like most of us in this industry Harry, you have to work with the equipment supplied, and improvise regards Kev.

hiya,
Spot on there Kev I’ve had to manage some rough “old tackle” in my time
and some would have been more beneficial without autolube.

Hello Harry, I cannot remember how long it’s been since I done any form of coupling up. I have been a little busey lately, as you know people have been trying to contact me, well I got on to them, and a old Carlsberg driver, the last of the originals who was there in the starting days in Northampton is retiring and they are having a party, and want as many of the past drivers who have left and retired to attend, and they was not have much success. But with my contacts and keeping in touch I think or hope the people I have spoken too will turn up this friday. Sadly a few have died, and some are abroad. But I am sure the ones that do attend will drive a few thousand miles on that night!
hiya,
Norm just so long as enough of you turn up to fill the place with exhaust fumes
and soak the rug with spilled diesel a good night should be had by all. have fun.
thanks harry, long retired.

There might be plenty of amber nectar flowing but our Norm won’t be imbibing,
in actual fact I’ve supped more “hot lead” than Norm’ll drink that night.

hiya, harry did you ever stop at Dot’s when in glasgow, they were off kelvinhaugh st, the highland haulage night trunk drivers stayed there, if you got an early finnish and were in the dig around about 4ish, they would be have’n they tea, sometimes they would have a drop of the neat whiskey left and offer you a wee dram, 100% pure, 1/2 a cup top up with iron brew, o’boy its was some drink, bumper. ps think norman mates should pre book the nights accommodation for friday night get together.

hiya,
Never stayed but was often asked when making my way up there why I didn’t
I know now maybe I should, I always made my way out to Paisley I had free
digs out that way but I was a single lad in those days and enjoying myself.
thanks harry, long retired.

hiya,
No comment, I’ll just say that some guys chose to do the rounds by bicycle and I preferred
to get to pastures new by lorry less arduous and also got paid to get there.

Harry, being of “Shamrock Extraction”, I was brought up on tales of Darby O’ Gill and the "little"people. I never thought I would get to meet my hero! Regards Kev.
hiya,
T’bejebus the taties’ll never be done. Me “old Gramp’s” was partial to a drop
or two of Irish whisky, you’ve got me wondering now, am I and Darby family.
thanks harry, long retired.
maybe you should keep your exploits quiet harry , there may still be fathers/husbands /boyfriends / brothers on the lookout for you after what you did to those poor innocent girls .

hiya,
Good thinking “Riggers” do you think it may be advisable if I went into
hibernation ■■, now you don’t all have to agree with me.

Mmm, my Mother spent some time in the North East a few years ago and I like a drop or three of whisky! I could easily be an offshoot from Harry, I’m only 63 so the age difference would be about right, so how about all that pocket money Harry, do I get it backdated?

Plus you like eight leggers Pete, as does Harry. Bit of a coincidence.
Cheers Dave.

I tackled any forbidden fruit.
