Hiya …if it was Rush Green motors which is in that area…Yes we do.man who owns the place
dos’nt want to sell anything he thinks its better to rot away or swap it for gold bars
john and many others

Hiya …I’ve just had a phone call to see if anyone wants this F7 cab. if not it’ll get crushed.
the cab is near Nuneaton and is in good nick. there’s no welding to be done and i think
a couple hundred quid will buy it …I can say by thursday 10 people will want one but
it’ll be to late… if you decide you want the cab you’ll have 4or5 days to get it by then the
yard will be clear…it must be a good deal just the doors and screen are worth more

John

fryske:

That looks familiar, is it an ex fairground wagon?

Yeah you could be right there Nathan, I remember an old guy called Mr. Harris who was on the fairs for years, who ran lorries painted up like that, in my young day’s they were ERF’s.

Hiya…hi steve there’ll be some parts that people need. i’ve serched high and low for 5 inch headlights
for my AEC i’ve got some now… they fetch between 50 and £100 a pair and one light was £100 on
its own. windscreen would be £200 at some yards the thing is will they be bothered to let people
take things off…god i was lucky with the parts you put me onto… thanks again…

Hook Norton on a farm. Reckon you could do her up? It was going to a scrapman but he rang owner last week and said that prices had fallen and wasn’t prepared to pay what he offered. The owner asked me to post on here it was for sale although he reckons only the body will be useful-though John pointed out the interior light. If anyone wants contact details pm me I’ll find them in local phone book.

A couple more cab pics;

There’s a plate in cab referring to tacho servicing, which reads “Smiths coaches, Shenington” so it worked in later years in Banbury area.

C reg Ford Cargo sweeper, ex Felixstowe Civils, residing in a barn where the AEC is

Another one at Hookie’. D reg Commer Maxiload ex Dukes of Chipping Norton. This one is used occasionally on the farm moving feed although looking at the windscreen, not that often!

Being “driveable” I guess this could be restored (a new door needed!)
