The Grand old Duke of York

Far be it from me to speak up for him but tbf he was involved in that rescue mission of the supply ship that was bombed and on fire.

I’ve heard he wasnt at all popular with his fellow officers or his ship’s company.

I can imagine Harry being a bit more down to earth, and ‘‘one of the lads’‘ and a lot more popular than his Uncle.

Just heard on sky news that he has a pension of 20,000 a year from the navy

Am I missing something, how long did he serve and how long do you need to serve to qualify for a 20,000 a year pension

They’re all doing the rounds as usual.

I’ve been looking up how he’ll support himself financially…a 6 figure sum for being sacked (Duke of York), £20 k a year Navy pension (Government pays) and , an annual stipend from The King’s private funds (reported to be many multiples of his navy pension
Phew, that’s nice, he won’t have to be scratching around for £ coins for the pre pay gas meter
God alone knows who’ll pay for the Sandringham house

Try a trip to your local job centre Mr Windsor, you’re one of us now, a commoner

Is he a Windsor or Mountbatten?
I know what he is, but the forum has a swear filter.

I doubt he’ll be kerb crawling in a Festiva or Corolla, either.

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor

So how does that work, if their family name is Windsor, how come Harry served in the Army as (can’t remember his rank….assuming Lieutenant) Wales ?

Deleted, not required.

New track by ‘‘Charlie Marley’’ :joy:

Just finished watching this series tonight.

If you have ‘Prime’ it’s worth watching.
